How does a company specializing in promotional products promote itself? To market their wide range of product branding capabilities—from drinkware to apparel to custom gifts—Orlando-based creative group Blëzoo needed a clever and cost-effective way to demonstrate their own nimble-footed ingenuity.
The result was Blëzoo Bot; a paper robot mailer that prospective clients could punch out of its perforated card and assemble, creating a branded desk buddy that could make its home in any office setting. As a mascot for the company and a symbol of their tireless work ethic, Blëzoo Bot offers a fresh burst of personality, narrative, and humor to the arduous task of hunting for promotional items. Unlike most promotional mail which generally winds up in the trash, GBC endeavored to extend the shelf life of Blezoo's mailer. Through the keepsake nature of the fun paper toy, clients would be more likely to keep their Bots—and Blëzoo's contact information—close at hand.
Hundreds of Bots were mailed out to Blëzoo clients, who responded with immediate enthusiasm. The mailer became the centerpiece of a viral marketing campaign in conjunction with online contests and social media initiatives, in which recipients were encouraged to submit photographs of their robots in different settings to win prizes. The Bot army is growing!
